We do ask parents to encourage pupils’ reading by listening to their children read often or talking about their books.

Teachers will set homework regularly. We hope parents will discuss this work with their children and encourage them, as we believe parents’ involvement to be crucial in their child’s progress. Children should be encouraged to know their multiplication tables.

We ask that children think about the amount of television they watch and use their spare time to develop hobbies and interests.
