Stretton
on Dunsmore Charities
Each
year the Stretton Charities have funds available to help villagers
in need. The Trustees are concerned at the low number of requests
being received each year and wish to ensure that individuals feel
free to enquire in confidence about the possibility of financial
assistance.
Following
a revision of the Stretton Charities, approved by the charity commission,
the trustees are able to award small grants
to villagers in the following categories.
- Young
people up to the age of 25, in further education or vocational
training, who need assistance to purchase books, equipment,
tools, etc.
- People of any age who need help following illness, bereavement,
redundancy or any other misfortune which has affected their financial
position.
- People with a disability who require assistance to pay
for services to support them eg. payment of a gardener for essential
maintenance.
- Senior citizens who are in need for whatever reason.
If
you fall into one of the above categories or know someone who does,
please contact the Clerk to the Trustees for further
details.
